History: FYI - his main wiki page can be found here, but the relevant history section for this version of Moriarty (aka the "Trinity Metatronius" section) is super short and barely explains anything so here's a general summary of his role in the story. All of the below information can be found in exhaustive detail here, if necessary.

This particular version of James Moriarty (Ruler) was one of the Servants summoned to the Reckoning Singularity to help correct it. The Singularity should have been set in Florence, Italy, but the area instead mimics the Divine Comedy, meaning the space has been divided into "Heaven", "Purgatory", and "Hell" respectively. To help oppose the supreme judge that rules this Singularity, Moriarty teams up with Dante Alighieri to open a legal practice, "M&D Law Firm", which they run out of a shabby apartment building in Purgatory called the Granato.

He ends up assisting Ritsuka, Mash, and Kadoc from Chaldea, agreeing to serve as their defense attorney. He forms a temporary contract with Chaldea and heads off to gather information that could possibly help overturn their original guilty verdict. He devises of a plan to earn them a retrial, enabling them to properly argue their case. After an extended journey through Hell to acquire the seven Scales Certificates required to make their appeal, Moriarty and Dante go toe-to-toe with Kirei Kotomine in Heaven's court to defend the trio from Chaldea. Although the trial doesn't go smoothly, they are able to hold their own. Unfortunately, the very end of the trial gets interrupted by more plot stuff, causing the angels to go berserk and attack everything in sight. Moriarty spends the rest of his time in this Singularity fighting for the sake of the heroes in the background of more major plot stuff until he ultimately runs out of magical energy and disappears off-screen.

Personality:
✖️ Affable - Moriarty initially presents himself as a friendly, cheerful, and articulate young man. Whether that impression lasts depends on the person (and how well they get along with him), but Moriarty himself is not shy and has no qualms about talking with people he doesn't personally know. His Servant profile compares him to "that college friend/classmate who agrees to share his notes but never lets you hear the end of it."

✖️ Sharp-minded - Highly intelligent, incredibly clever, and relentlessly resourceful, Moriarty is able to think quickly on his feet even in chaotic situations. He also has a natural penchant for mathematics, always making calculations in his head.

✖️ Meticulous - His future self was known as an incredibly cautious man—to the point that even his own criminal organization remained ignorant of his true identity. While this Moriarty is 30 years off from that, the groundwork for the person he will eventually become is already present in who he is today. He's careful about what he shares and with who, and he pays close attention to the people around him, even down to the smallest of details.

Destined for Evil - Given his future as the Napoleon of the Criminal World, his moral compass is questionable. Moriarty is entirely capable of making selfish or even ruthless choices. However, despite his affinity for logic and numbers, don't mistake him for a "Lawful" person. Moriarty is "Chaotic" aligned, meaning he's likely to choose whatever outcome best serves his own interests. For example, if asked, Moriarty would agree that the most sensible solution to the trolley problem is to save the many over a single life, but if that single life happened to be someone he cared deeply about, he'd flip on a dime and sacrifice the many to save that person without hesitation, logic be damned. That said, he isn't actively malicious.

Inexperienced - Moriarty is very smart and well-read, but this version of him is a snapshot of "James Moriarty" in his early twenties before he did anything particularly notable, meaning he doesn't have a wealth of life experience to draw on. Theoretical knowledge doesn't always translate to practical application, and his ego often demands he follow through with something he thinks he knows how to do, even if/when he is entirely out of his depth.

Fragile Self-Esteem - Moriarty feels a little self-conscious of two things in particular: his pitch-black eyes (which have been described as "frightening") and the way he measures up against his future 50s-something self. At this stage in his life, he's not as smart or as cunning or as charismatic as "the" James Moriarty, infamous archenemy of Sherlock Holmes. This pricks at his pride and reveals a surprisingly childish side of Moriarty, who arguably shouldn't feel competitive toward HIMSELF, but being told he's still green in comparison bugs the hell out of him anyway.

Time of Arrival to Kaisou: Freshly arrived in Kaisou. Perhaps his labyrinth mirrors the Granato, only distorted into a twisted maze of identical hallways?

Items:
- His usual outfit
- His trick cane (basically a staff with giant scissor blades on the bottom that he often wields like a sword; the bulb on top can emit a bright purplish light)
- His combat-optimized super-ruler (aka the "Logarithm Accel Loader", which is an oversized math tool that he also wields like a sword)

Retained Abilities:
- Contract/Pact/Links Slot - Basic Pact (1 Point)
- Hammerspace for his trick cane (1 Point)
- Hammerspace for his combat ruler (1 Point)
- Reduced Need for Sleep - No Sleep (3 Points)
